Help A urgent help sound not working on my tablet

I brought coby 7042 kyros two weeks ago. Since yesterday my sound is not working both external speaker as well as headphone. Pls let me know if it is a hardware or software problem. The tab runs on android 4.
I am new to andriod so pls help me clear steps. Thank you in advance.

Have to tried factory resetting it? Sounds like it could well be a hardware fault though, which case you'd have to send it back for repair/replacement/refund under warranty.
