A WiFi Query

I have a HTC Hero on T-Mobile which works absolutely fine, but I have a question on WiFi connectivity.

I'm on VirginMedia at home, both laptops and a games console connect perfectly via wireless, but the SSID I have set up doesnt even register on the HTC. I can find a BT homehub, TalkTalk, and various others at various times, but no sign at all of VirginMedia. I also set up a new WiFi connection on the HTC - SSID of virginmedia - but its just saying 'not found, remembered'.

Whats going wrong?

Scrub all the above - just spoken to T-Mobile and its a software issue, so am getting a new phone tomorrow.

Not bad, eh? Less than one week in and problems already.

Looks like I'll be going back to Nokia if this keeps up

I got a g2 recently and have just installed virgin broadband,i suffered the same problem with no wifi visible.After reading some of the other threads on wifi issues i looked into the router and changed the setting from "N" to "G/G+ "and my wifi was visible straight away.Hope this helps anyone suffering virgin wifi problems.
