Hi, I recently bought this handset n couldnt use the phone as it displays on the screen " Invalid IMEI " with no signal on the top when any sim is inserted.Phone does display the sim no. n relevent internet settings.I spoke to my network provider n they gathered as the phone beeing locked.I have rest it once at the advoice of the seller but without any luck.I decided to give it a try on this forum to find any solution before I send it back. Can anybody help me with some solution to fix this problem?Thanks

I would contact the seller again if you don't hear from them... the IMEI is used as an ID for the phone... it sounds a little dodgy to be honest!
You may like to have a look on this site - it lets you put your IMEI in and it can tell you about your phone... it aslo has some info on validity of IMEI numbers.

I'd have a word with the seller and send it back. If the IMEI is invalid, there's very little you can do to make it work. The network it was previously registered to either thinks it's stolen or it's just a ropey IMEI. Either way, there's not much you can do to resolve yourself, sorry.
