A52 + A54: How to improve or induce noise suppression while wearing hearing aids

This seems to be a complex topic. I use hearing aids, and the sound quality is excellent for me. BUT the people with whom I speak on the phone hear too much and/or too loud background noises. For example, papers wrinkling, television. There's no noise cancellation nor suppression as when using the phone alone.

There are articles on changing call settings on these Androids, but my two phones do not have them on Android 14.
This article did not help: 4 Ways to Enable Clear Calling On Your Phone (Android/iOS)

The only setting I could find is "hearing aid compatibility" and that is turned on.

Many users state that hearing aids don't have true noise suppression, so if this is a problem, use the phone, not the aids, for voice/talking. Again, what I hear is fine.

Anyone here know how to reduce background noise for bluetooth-attached hearing aids using a Samsung A54 cellphone?

Is there an associated app for your aids? You might check if you can limit the ambient sounds that your aids are picking up with an app for your aids. Perhaps a restaurant environment might help. I'm in my first week with new aids that do a fair job of limiting noise from my end during a phone conversation. My old aids worked best turning on the speaker phone and talking that way. I'm unfamiliar with your phones and have never tried with Android or my S21 to limit the hearing aids input for phone conversations. I wish I had more to offer.

Thanks, the App (MyPhonak) has no such controls, at least in conjunction with this Phonak model. There are settings for my hearing, such as "restaurant" and "television".

You might test drive the restaurant environment. It is supposed to limit the background noise. I don't know if it will work while during a phone call. Beyond that... I'm short on ideas. Good luck. It's a love / hate relationship we of need of hearing assistance face. It's great to hear but the marriage with the phone tech leaves a lot to be desired. I guess that's why they call them hearing aids and not hearing fix.
