Root Abd?

Hi guys im trying to add a custom flash recovery to my rogers 2.1 htc magic which is already rooted following xda dev. tuts. and im having trobules with ABD
i just skiped the first abd install by regularly installing a apk instead of abd install
when ever i do
"cd\
cd\android-sdk-windows\tools
abd devices"
it says " "Abd" is not an internal or an external command *something something* batch"

I think you got that wrong....

It's adb. Lol.


Though I could be wrong.... you have me questioning myself.
