For using on METRO.

BYOD is fine(hopefully B&M), in fact better for many reasons.

TIA, your advice will really, really help for our family plan.

Assuming you already own 4+ eligible devices, then BYO would be the cheapest, as you would only need to buy 4+ SIM cards and activate 4+ new lines of service. So you'd be looking at $35+tax for each line.

If you're going to buy any new Metro-branded Androids, the Huawei Valiant is currently the lowest-priced eligible device.

Thank you both.
I was hoping for even cheaper, even if having to upgrade to Android 4 with CWM....

I currently pay $111 for 4 lines-- 1 original smartphone + 3 dumbs(the old $25 for extra lines).
The new Promo:4 lines @$100(+ something extra for more than 500mb @ 4g) can convert them all to smart...

I need to find out if:

a. the other Promo: $100 back for bringing own phone and number,
can be done more than once to cover each line in family plan....

b. can be combined with the 4 lines for $100

I'll post separate question thread about this....

Radio Shack does carry a couple of brand new dumbphone models for $4.95 until 09/30, if someone wanted to make money on that....

Thanx again.
