hey, rather strange problem here. I left my tablet on top of my car and drove off, and therefore now it has a broken screen. i have tried all humanly possible methods of trying to turn it on but im afraid its seen its last pixel. i just bought a new nexus 9 to transfer all the data to, but without even a sign of functionality is there any way of like using a pc? i didnt back up my data...

thanks for any replies

If it still powers up and you already had USB debugging enabled then yes, you can back stuff up using "ADB". Similarly if it's set to automatically allow an MTP connection when you connect to a PC you can copy some stuff (media etc), but not app data, contacts etc.

If it won't power up at all though then no, there's nothing can be done. Of course if the display is completely broken you may not be easily able to tell whether it has powered up, so it's worth connecting it to a PC and seeing whether you can get a response from it.

Finally, if you had the option to back up data to Google enabled, then signing in to the same Google account with your new device should let you restore whatever had been synced to the new device.
