Accelerating the Android device's starting

Hi,

Is there a way to accelerate my HTC Desire's starting? Okay, it should not turn it off often, but, well, you sometimes want to turn it off, and it takes > 1 min. to recover from its fully operational mode!

I believe if you unmount the sd card before turning it off,it then shuts down quicker,im not sure if it will then turn on quicker.

Might be worth a go.
