Access to HTC One X People App pics

I have two photos in my HTC One X contacts whose Gallery pics have been deleted. When you tap the contact in the People App, the pictures display large and clear. Is there a way to copy the pics back from the contact to the Gallery, or to copy it back in some other way?

My first step would be to back up the contacts as .vcf file to phone storage and then copy the file to my PC.

I think, on PC, I might find a tool to extract the jpg (pictures) as files from .vcf file
