Help Accessing files

Is there a way to access the files on my phone [not SD card but the phone] without rooting my phone?

I just want to pull most of my default wallpapers off of the phone's memory.

While I don't have a definite answer, and you may have to wait for jjj's response; I would say your best bet is trying to access it with ADB.

Hypothetically, if I didn't know what ADB was, how would you explain it to me?
