Accessing Notification Tones

I'm thinking about editing the whistle sound to make it repeat a couple of times because it seems that all of the sounds are pretty short and I tend to miss them.

Is there any way to gain access to this files? If so under what folder are they? I've been trying to find them but have been unsuccesfull at it.

You can use an application like Zedge to download sounds that you can hear better.
