ACCESSORIZE!!!! - My Ideal Nexus 7 Setup

So, I just got off of Amazon after ordering all the accessories I should ever need for my n7

Case: MoKo(TM) 360 Degrees Rotating Case for Google Nexus 7 Android Tablet by Asus, Purple (With Automatic Sleep/Wake Function, Vertical and Horizontal Stand and Stylus Loop) (accidentally ordered the purple one. Put in a change for the black one)

Keyboard: Logitech Tablet Keyboard for Android 3.0+ (920-003390)

Mouse: Connectland CL-MOU23014 Bluetooth Wireless Optical Mouse

USB OTG Cable: T & S Electronics Micro USB Host Cable (OTG Cable) - Xoom, Galaxy S2, Acer Iconia A510, Toshiba Excite AT305, Google Nexus 7 & more..

I already have a Targus stylus and several 16-32 GB thumb drives, so I didn't need to order those..

I think this will be a pretty nice at home/overnight setup :-)

I also ordered an external USB 2.0 3.5" SATA enclosure, but that's more general purpose than anything.

I have the Logitech keyboard and it is fantastic.
I have a Dell-branded Logitech BT mouse that also works great.

I am so all over that cable! thanks for the link

Bluetooth is a lot of fun...when it works! :D

There are MANY much cheaper cables, but I'm very wary of low-cost cables, as throughput usually really sucks on them. Glad I could help :-) After tax and 2-day shipping on everything but the case, and with the keyboard and OTG cable shipping free because I signed up for the free 30 day APrime trial, I'm out $116.07.. I can live with that.

I'm right with you there.
I've been burned on cut-rate cables before too. (pardon the pun)
Sounds like a good haul for the dough, and a useful setup!

I'd like to throw a tiny powered speaker into the mix if I may?

I've been using it with my Droid Bionic as well as my Nexus 7 and the sound is just incredible for it's size and price.
Great for music or for video when you need more than the Nexus 7's speakers can provide, and can be connected together for REALLY nice stereo, even if it ends up being a little bit of a kludge to do it.
I picked up a pair, but took the second one to use at my bench at work.

Amazon.com: iHome iHM60GT Rechargeable Mini Speaker (Gray Translucent): MP3 Players & Accessories

They come in different colors, but this is the one I bought.

Got the keyboard & USB OTG, today. Testing the keyboard out by typing this very message :) Works great, and the case for it doubles as a 2-position stand. Win/Win

Is the Targus Stylus any good at note taking? I've been searching for a good note taking stylus for school.

Last week I found out that I'll be spending two weeks doing some training just outside of Boston.

Bummer that Nexus 7 dock isn't available yet, but I'm glad I've got a decent kit put together at this point otherwise.
Glad for threads like this!

I'm fairly upset with the keyboard.. It dddddddddddddddddddddoes. Thhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhisssssssss a LOT, times out in about two minutes, and is generally annoying. Sometimes, I turn it on and it just shuts off. Also, if I connect it *after* I connect my mouse, Apex Launcher Pro crashes every time, then crashes regularly after that until I turn the keyboard off.

Wow. Thanks for the heads up!
I'm going to have to do a dry run to see how everything does.

I've got some time, luckily.

Are you still overclocking?

Just the GPU... It's OC'd from stock to 520MHz.. Check the benchmarks thread, I posted my scores from _motley's latest linaro-optimized kernel w/520MHz GPU.

I'm actually surprised the benchmark thread hasn't been more lively considering what a beast this thing is..
