Help Active Display Not Sensitive Enough

Hi,

I have a Moto Z2 play and I don't like that the active display is not always showing off. I need to wave my hand above the phone (when it is locked) many times in order for it to wake up and the clock to display.

Sometimes the clock will show after the first time I wave my hand, sometimes it will take 10 or 20 waves of my hand for it to show (if at all).

I had the 2014 Moto X2 before, and it was way better. Every time I waved my hand over the locked phone, the clock showed up.

Anyways to fix it?

I suspect is isn't broken... therefore there is no "fix" ( the proper term is probably adjustment ) for that.

I find it responds similarly to the Active Display I had on my Motorola Turbo 2... although it seems to be pretty responsive on my Z2 Play, it also seems to try and avoid activating accidentally... To explain what I mean as an example, if I wave my hand across it once it activates quickly but if I let it dim back out and try to repeat it quickly, it remains blank making me wait a moment before it again responds.
