i know that when you get an alert, it displays on the active display screen.

if the phone is on a table, should it keep lighting up until you pick it up and if so what are intervals that it lights up?

thanks

Yes. Motorola calls that "breathing". It allows you to see at a glance that there (or are not) any active notifications. Supposedly it will not light if the phone is face down or if the sensor picks up that the phone is in your pocket, purse, bag, etc. There is also a sleep setting that is supposed to stop the notifications from lighting during a specific time period.

I have not seen any published timings, but it seems to light up once every few seconds at first, then the frequency slows after a minute or two.
