Help Active Hidden Menu

[Hidden Menu Button]

My friend has a Samsung Galaxy Active. When he's in the gallery app, he presses the menu button in a special way to bring up the normal menu, and can show hidden items. However, me and my mates all tried to press the menu button, and it wouldn't come up. Every time he did it it worked. Is there some way to alter what brings the menu up? Pressing multiple buttons at once or something?

You mean you can't do this on his phone, or on your phones? Can't he just tell you what he did, then you can see whether your phones have a similar setting?

If we knew what "hidden items" you have in mind it would be easier to answer this.
