Actually Good Browser

I've been using Steel as my main browser for the past few weeks, and honestly, it's really not that great. The UI for zooming in and out is horrible, usually causing me to accidentally zoom when a I'm just holding the page.

Are there any other browsers besides Steel and the default?

Opera mini was fine on my other phones, but pales in comparison to the built in browser.

I too find the zoom function tedious. Also clicking links accidentally is a pain when scrolling.

Holy Shazbots, Android! I just discovered that Cyanogen implemented multitouch in the default browser. Never mind then.

The only problem I really have with the default browser is the lack of a stop button. Too many times a miss the right link and can't stop it from loading the next page.

But I'll use it anyways since it's got multitouch. :D

I find that Opera is soooo much quicker than the default browser (both in terms of downloading and rendering). Obviously this has negatives too - image quality is low (unless you pump up the quality, but then obviously speed goes down) and a lot of dynamic stuff doesn't work with it. But for just browsing, it's awesome and - crucially for me - it's text input isn't crazy laggy like I find the default browser. And I always ensure I only have one window open, and clear the cache.

Opera Mobile (that is, their "proper" browser for mobiles, not "Mini") should be coming out soonish, complete with Flaaaash support.

Default browser has a stop button. Press menu and it is the bottom left option - if the page has loaded it will be the refresh option, if the page is loading it is the stop option
