Hey people, not sure if this has been posted or not but was just wondering if there was anyway in which you could broadcast an adhoc network from an android device,

on my old nokia phone i used this program and it worked very well, and was just wondering if anyone knows of an android version

Thanks

Yeah it's called wifi tethering and it works pretty well unless you do it on the samsung moment. The moment has a datalock issue right now where it will lock up when you transfer too much. Anyway, you have to be root and I don't think all android phones work.

I would root but im confused all about this goldcard thing? iv got a tmobile g2 touch aka hero but branded differently and looking at this guide it says it works for some people and doesnt work for others so i dont want to mess up my phone.

Azilink is like pdanet, or at least when I tried it before it was, and requires a USB connection to connect right? I don't believe it has the ability to broadcast a wifi ad-hoc network.
