adb Pull/ Push and Text msg/ Phone log

I have recently performed an adb pull to my PC using both the InstalledApps and SystemApps commands. I have hundreds of files now on my PC in these separate folders. This removed my phone log and text messages completely from my old phone.
I want to now adb push them onto my newer phone. Any backup software is meant to backup data BEFORE removing which I didn't know at the time.

What files or process would I perform to copy phone log and text messages to my newer phone?

Buuuuump!

This is a hot subject asked by 'many' forum members. I've searched the world over on this subject and have come up empty.
The ability to retrieve text messages after the fact of any oooops is a hot topic.

Any help will be appreciated by all.

I wish I knew more about ADB to help out, but alas, I still need to experiment with it myself

Are the older and newer phones the same model (and were they running the same software version)? If not then there's a high risk of incompatibilities between the database files on the 2 phones, and hence adb pushing the old phone's message and call dbs to the new phone is quite likely to cause problems.

I'm pretty sure you'd need to be rooted to do this anyway, so you could always take a nandroid backup first and then try it, but don't be surprised if it fails and you need that nandroid.
