Add a Signature to Posts

I read the information where to enter a signature (User CP -> Edit Options) but I did not see a place to add a signature. I saw that Premium Users can add an image, but what about just a text / URL signature?

Thanks for the response. I was trying to find the information.

Also - I noticed that on the Premium Accounts, one can add images (something I am not interested in), does that also include more links in the signatures? (I am doing reviews for SPB and a couple of other products and did not know about posting links to those reviews on my site).

Looking at some of the posts in that section are they are not too detailed, etc. But I was wondering, if I gave a review and wanted to have some images / screenshots, it is OK to post a link to that?

The limit for any signatures:

Your signature cannot be longer than 1000 characters including BB code markup.

If you do have images, just be considerate and not have them TOO big.

Hi RJSH, please read Xyro's post a few posts above yours. You don't have the signature option at the moment because your posts below 25 at the moment. After a couple more posts, when you click on UserCP, on the table on the left side under 'edit & option', you'll have 'edit Signature'.

Thanks! Yes, I read theirs. That's why I commented what I did cause I thought I was losing my mind! LOL But would you be able to help me with my other question - uploading photos or linking them? I never know how to go about doing that as other users do. Thanks! Oh, and is best to do it from my PC or be in the forums via phone browser? Thank you again!

The post count limit is fairly recent, so no you're not imagining seeing the option in the past.

You can upload the file straight from your PC as an attachment and it will end up at the bottom of your post. If you want to put the picture elsewhere on within your post, you'll need to upload it somewhere else. Websites like imageshack, photobucket, picassa and so on will let you do this and give you a URL for the image. Then you just put the url between tags, like this

RJSH - you actually will not be able to put images in your signature because you are not a premium member. If you wish to do so, please feel free to join our premium members usergroup. For more information, click the link at the top bar that says "Premium," otherwise, you will only be limited to text in your sig.
