Add date to pics taken with G1

Some people don't like setting their cameras to stamp the date on the pics taken but I like doing it on certain occasions. I don't know if the G1 does this because i haven't read about it, but it'd be a cool little feature to have for future camera apps don't you think?

I doubt it will physically put the date on the picture, but since it's digitally tagged it does put the date on the file, as well as the time, and if you have GPS enabled it also puts the exact coordinates where the picture was taken so you can put it on a Google map.

So that's what that setting is. When I saw it I was like "Wha? store location in pics? WTF" But a dev out there can do it. It's not a hardware issue I don't think, right?

I'm sure someone could make an app that puts the date on the picture itself, but I don't know if there is enough demand for something like that. I personally would never use it, but if you want it chances are others want it too.
