Add Microsoft Active Sync Account

My wife and I have idential S21 phones but when I try to add a Microsoft Active Sync account to her phone, there is not choice for adding it. I do hva e that choice on y pohone. See the screen print from my phone which has Microsoft Active Sync but not on wifes phone.

Do you each have your own Gmail account and use it for each device?
Do you have your own Microsoft account for each device?

Yes, we each have our own gmail accounts.

I have also attached a copy of the account types available on my phone but hers does not have the Microsoft actrive sync

Hers needs an active Microsoft app installed on it, such as Outlook for email.

Yes, you are correct. the Outlook.com app works fine but the app is pretty bad and it does not add exchange account that I can use with another mail app. So I would appreciate any additional suggestions.
