Help Adding iTunes music to SD card?

For some strange reason every time I hook up my phone via USB to my computer it says that it malfunctioned and won't let me open up the storage location to add media to my SD card USB Debugging is turned on as well as Mock Locations and Stay Awake. All I want do is put music on my phone to listen to. It charges but the nothing pops up on the screen of my computer or my phone. Please help me!

Try restarting both. What operation system are you using?

And I've never tried it so correct me if I'm wrong, but iTunes store music has all of these protections on it that are supposed to stop it from being moved around. I never thought it'd work on our phones, but if it does I'd be happy

HP Laptop.
I get my music from MP3 Rocket and drag it into iTunes.
It works fine for me.

That doesn't work.

HP laptop, and because you didn't tell me Windows or Linux, you're running Windows . Are you running Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP?

Vista.
I don't see why it's so MF difficult to music on my phone!
The USB storage shit doesn't pop up on my phone screen nor does my phone show up as an removable disk like it's supposed to.

However,

I believe there are some computers (mostly laptops) where it simply will not connect. This didn't work for my dell laptop. Absolutely nothing would make it connect. I think it may be because the USB doesn't get enough power.
