Adding New Contact using S Pen [You need Action Memo]

With a previous version of the Note phone, I was able to add new contacts to my contacts list via S Pen and a note.

Is this still possible to do with the Note 9? If so, can you please instruct me how to do so? Are there any videos which show how to do this?

that was called "action memo" and sadly since the note 8 its been missing on the phone.

used to you could side load it onto the phone (i did this on the note 8) but i've not looked into it on the note 9...

EDIT: this looks like the old apk I used on the note 8. the main thing you want to do is DO NOT UPDATE the apk once you install and open it, or you will lose the functionality of action memo.

MORE EDITS: so I just followed the details in the video and the linked discussion (to XDA) and installed just fine. thanks for reminding me!

I forgot how much I love action memo. Curious, do you get a persistent popup when you use action memo? I can't seem to make it go away after I use the smart feature

ive use action memo a couple more times since i did it here and no popup. what does the pop up say?

Hi,

Try the tips mentioned in this thread. It can be done but you need to install (sideload ) a legacy app.

If you decide to to this, do NOT update that app because the latest update breaks this ability.
