Help adding NON-yahoo/gmail?

I'm trying to add my school email to my NEW droid x, but it won't let me!
it keeps saying:
"The social service is unable to automatically set up this account"
what do i need to do?

email is not a social service. start, settings, accounts, add, email. You may need the mail server names.
