Let me start off by saying I'm glad to be here at the android forums and this is my first post. I (quite surprisingly) only got my first android device recently; a strange gamepad thing from Hong Kong called the "GPD Q9". All it really seems to be is a hacked cheap tablet in a custom case with mounted joystick. I quickly warmed up to the idea of android and put many of my favorite games on the device. But the mounted controls are really flimsy and not good to play games with, plus I wanted to play two player games, so I got a USB OTG cord. However, my obscure device doesn't detect the joysticks I plug in, and I found out I didn't have the kernels or modules or something. Things got more confusing from there; when searching the subject, I learned about "rooting" devices and a bunch of different things that just confused me. I just simply want to connect a USB OTG cord, a USB hub to that cord, and plug in 2 Xbox 360 wired controllers..... but now I don't even know where to start. If I could get some help from an expert, that would be........ AWESOME! Thanks in advance to anyone who responds.
I just looked up the Q9 on some website for sale and it had "1 USB OTG Port" in the description..... So, they're advertising that it's included, but it doesn't have that functionality....... smh. I don't know though, maybe I'm missing something.
