Additional child security

There are lots of apps around for child security, but there are some features of email (for and android tablet) that are still missing (I think).

1) Not allow addition af contacts without special (adult) security.
2) Can not send any email unless it is to someone in the contact list.
3) Can not receive messages from anyone not in the list
and
4) any other things to prevent circumventing the above.

I am only starting to scratch the surface here, for my grandkids.

To be honest, no email is made with the thought that kids are using it. If your kids are not trustworthy enough to not listen to you when you tell them not to send email to strangers, they probably should not have an email (or so the thought goes...I am not here to critique your grandparenting and in fact think what you suggest is an ok idea).

Here is the closest solution I can think to hack together:

a gmail account with all approved contacts in a contact group called approved.

A filter that automatically deletes emails from people not in the above group.

Outgoing mail is harder to censor.

Now, this is easily changed without adult permission. However, if there is that little trust, perhaps the written letter is a better choice.

Might be possible somehow. I know some companies do a similar thing with email address whitelists. If the sender's email address is not on the known whitelist, any emails from them goes to "spam" or "unknown senders". They're probably doing this with Exchange.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions.

My grandkids are 5 years old, and I don't expect them to do things that are 'deliberately' bad. Initially I want to prevent using the web browser to help protect them, and down load a whole bunch of games etc from the market and then try to prevent them from using the market themselves. Because it is a tablet, they won't be making phone calls (unless i add sip on the tablet to my server) and won't have text messaging. I thing simple email (with the restrictions mentioned) is an ideal starting point so they can communicate with direct family members with ease (they can spell a lot of words and can easily type them into notepad etc).
