Adjusting Screen Brightness

Hoping there are quick ways to adjust screen brightness?
With auto adjust checked it doesn't seem to work for me, and somehow the screen brightness adjustment bar no longer appears in the dropdown bar. I have to go into settings, screen, brightness and then adjusted.
Any tips to make things quicker would be appreciated. I did notice there are some app widgets on Play that I could download but not sure if they are neccessary.

To get the brightness bar back on your notification drop down screen, go to Settings> Display> Notification Panel and make sure that the Brightness Adjustment box is checked.

Thanks so much. It turns out it got "hidden" by all the notifications I hadn't bothered clearing. I'm still "moving in" to this device.
