Account Deletions: How To Delete Your Account

From time to time, inactive members contact us wishing to delete their AndroidForums.com account. There is now a process in place that allows users to self-delete their accounts.
  • Sign into AndroidForums.com
  • Click on your Avatar in the top right
  • Find and click "Delete Your Account" in the listed options
  • Follow the instructions
  • *Above method is currently not working - please post below requesting deletion*
IMPORTANT:
  • Your posts will not be deleted and instead attributed to the user "Deleted User"
  • Deleting your account is irreversible- we cannot restore your account once completed
We're sad to see members leave but also want our community to know that we value their opinions and wishes. We hope you'll reconsider deleting your account, but alas - if you do - we wish you nothing but the best and thank you for being a part of our community while you were here.




A complete purge (as in delete your account and all posts/pms/etc) is not allowed. It will mess with the flow of conversation and we like to keep what all is put on this forum for record. Often times if we just delete your content, conversation looks weird. However, if we delete yours and the replies where people were trying to help you, well, that's just not fair to them. They deserve their credit when possible.

However should you have a special case you need to make to me, you're welcome to. Safety, legal reasons, etc. If I see reason that a full purge is in fact necessary I will run it by Rob. Side note: All posts you delete or edit in your history to work around this can and will be reverted to whichever version of edit history we choose.

Delete android forums account option 2.I can't log in.I have tried everything suggested. It tells me to try logging in,but there is not a spot specified to log into. If I can't use the account. Then I don't need it. So please just delete it.

I joined this forum to answer a question to a problem, when I finally joined I was told I couldn't reply to the problem, seems I can reply to this thread tho, so please delete my account. no point on joining a site if I cant contribute.
 
Option 2 Account removal is the GDPR compliant one. Your profile information is permanently removed and all of your posts will be listed as Deleted User.

Do not post in this thread if your intent isn't to have your account deleted. You may suffer unintended account removals that are irreversible.
