I have a Kindle Fire and it appears that I can not download Adobe Flash. Are there any alternatives or work arounds?

Adobe are no longer supporting Flash for Android. You can, however, use browsers which have a flash plugin - there are many... here are a couple of examples: Puffin Web Browser / Opera Browser
