adopting sdcard to phone

ok yesterday shotgun84 walked me thru rooting my phone that i said couldn't be done. he did it hooray! but the whole purpose of that exercise was to get the phone to take the sd card and adopt it to the phones internal memory. i put in a new sd card and it did not ask me if i wanted it as storage or internal memory so all that work may have been for nothing.

so can anyone tell me if the on5 g550t1 can use the sdcard as adopted memory and suggest a procedure for doing that. i have 2 of these phone and need the extra memory for apps. the wife is not to bad but for me i have a bunch of apps and on way to run them on the on5. i did have the samsung galaxy s3 and that help all the apps great but i had to get the os upgrade and that phone would not take lollipop or marshmallow. and i rooted that phone rather easy, way easier than the on5 whow what a job on the on5 phone.
anyway if i can get marshmallow on the s3 then i would give up on the on5. if anyone know how to do that let me know!! so this is my delema to get the on5 to adopt the sdcard to internal memory help me please. thanks much in advance.

ok i found a instructions from thomas vos and they failed every time i did this 5 times and i now have 5 asplugins on my phone and the twrp program says it is flashing but then i look and now adopted storage that i can see in storage and i run the app again like he says to do and all it does is add another copy of the plugin. i don't need all those plugins so what am i missing thomas? my phone is rooted according to shotgun84 who helpd ge get it done.

it is not working again for some reason. maybe i need an app to keep running and i us greenify to turn off apps. so i will restart a bunch of them one at a time.

ok i got it now. he did not say you have to uncheck the 2 options in twrp under move to sd card before you flash it. i unchecked thos options and slid the bar and it did a bunch of stuff and then rebooted and i then re-ran the root essentials app and adopted memory and it did a bunch of stuff and then rebooted again this time i found my storage was 34.44gb combined. so it looks like this may have worked. i will now start reloading all my apps and get back if anything goes wrong. so thomas needs to update the instructions.

ok update again after hours of messing with it i had to run the root essential again and tell the app to view the storage and then to migrate it then into the phone and tell the phone to migrate and then re-boot the phone. so for now it seems to be doing something. i loaded up a bunch of apps and they all seem to be working.. this is a lot of work just to get the sd card to work as internal storage. maybe android will make some change to the next updates. i did find a few apps that will not work i had from before but it may be the os and not the root that is doing that.

now to see if i can get the latest android update i have 6.0.1 and if i can get more maybe this will work better? i tried to update the os and the phone said i messed with is and will not allow updates from the phone anymore. so i could not get them anyway but there must be a way

ok instead of changing my first post i will add to this here. root may have worked? jury is still out on this one. but the adaptable storage does not work. i thought it was working and then i tried to dl an app and it came up and said i need to ul some apps. it says i have 34gb of storage so this app is just plain junk and now one is going to make me believe different. i have worked this now all morning and i'm still no better off. i'm not saying it can't be done just not on the g550t1 metro phone. even with root it will not let me unlock it. so i believe it is time to factory restore it and just look for a phone that has the storage on it built in. i can't figure out how to open a terminal in the phone maybe it can't be done there no youtubes.

so i spent another hour trying to get the su to work using the up volume power and home keys and when it starts i go to terminal because that program is the twrp program and it is on the phone in a dozen places and it will no unzip the zip program. this sucks. tomorrow it gets reset to factory and i will them post that it is impossible to do this on this phone period

i just did the factory restore now and gave up doing this shit on this phone it is not working and will never work as so many claim it will they are lying
