Advance Download Manager - Unable to write to file

Ramonmq

Lurker
After downloading a movie, at the end I get the message "unable to write to file".
I am downloading to my SD Card, and a file is created on the folder on my SD Card.
However, the file name is shown with a blank page symbol and the movie does not play.

Maybe a compatibility issue with your particular phone or tablet and Android version, A few apps have had difficulty writing to SD storage with Lollipop, Marshmallow, etc. Check the app permissions in device settings, or maybe email the developers about it.

Thanks mikedt for your prompt response.
I will try that, also forgot to mention that I am using an Apex android box

mikedt:
I checked the app permissions and it only says that it can read/write/delete information on the USB STORAGE. Don't know if this is the same as the sd card. How do I write to the developer?
Dannydet:
Thanks for your reply. I believe, based on the posts I have read, that ADM can write to an sd card
