Advice needed: Oneplus 3t or Budget Phone

Hi,

I've been looking at a number of (cheap) options for a new smartphone. I've found the following and am unsure which would be a better choice:

- Oneplus 3t (refurbished) vs Moto G6 vs Huawei P20 lite vs Honor 10 lite (these are all similarly priced)

So my dilemma: is it better to go with an older higher spec phone or a new budget option?

If it was me I'd go with the Moto G6. It can be officially updated to the latest Android 9 Pie and has good specs. Motos are also good for aftermarket support (custom roms with higher android versions and other customizations).

The OP 3T only goes up to Android 8.1 Oreo officially. You would have to root it to get a custom android 9 rom.

I don't really like Huawei even though they make good phones because of privacy concerns amongst other things.
