Help Advice Please. The Prime, TF101 or Net/Ultrabook

Love my TP for all the uses you mentioned. I do have the keyboard and use it for composing e-mail and replying to forums, etc.; the rest of the time it is just the tablet by itself. WIFI is a little weak kneed, my Droid X has easily two to three times the range but it is workable and I expect Asus to correct it in the near future. GPS is one of the reasons I bought the TP as I am a pilot and was planning on using it to display navigation charts. The GPS is just barely functional; I also expect this to be fixed.

All in all, if you don't need GPS, I don't think there is a better tablet out there (IMHO.)

For what you need, a tablet is leaps and bounds better than any laptop. The portability and battery life are tremendous in comparison.

I haven't had any issues with wifi (as a matter of fact, it's better than my Epic 4G Touch). Like many others, I never used or intended to use the GPS features, so it's not a big issue for me. It may work for all I know, but I've just never had occasion to test it out.

Hi all,

Also my son has asked will he be able to get on Club Pengiun when i wont let him on the PC??:o

Thanks in advance.

The site will load and he will be able to view it but actually playing is another story. When it comes to flash support do not expect anything more than basic website flash features.

We prefer an original Macbook over the Prime + Keyboard Dock or smaller netbooks for the uses you described however If your set on a tablet then I would get the Prime. Unless your going to be typing alot I do not think you would need the keyboard. I found that it was actually to small to use on the couch or in the bed unless it was sitting on a tray. It came very apparent that the tray + Prime + keyboard dock combination was actually larger and more cumbersome than just the Macbook alone.
