ADW EX questions regarding custom icons and docks

Ok first question is can you have a custom dock with ADW?
2nd would be how does go about making custom icons, or if you find some how do you apply the icons? Do you just save the image file to your phone and use the "custom shortcut" option? thanks!
 
Good question....I would love to know this as well....Do you have ADW free launcher or ADW EX. I have ADW EX and it has a lot of custumization features, but as far as docks and icons I too would love to know if it can be done
 
I don't believe you can create custom docks for ADW, only use themes. Custom icons can be done the way you described I believe though.
 
I have ADW ex, ok so for the icons, I believe you are supposed to make them png files, but what resolution/size etc... ?
 
72x72 works well also and gives a pretty nice resolution and the icons are not real big. The dock is really not that customizable but I don't mine because I like using five icons. XDA has alot of nice icon packs that you can modify or just use. I download them onto my PC and then usually modify them or just put them in my dropbox.

Thanks! I will check XDA right now

Also once I have said icons, do I just drop them onto my sd card, and then when I go to "custom shortcuts" they will availiable? Or they will just be in the gallery?
Basically once I download the pack form XDA how do I use them :)

Yeah your right on track. Once there on your sd card if your using ADW just long press the icon you want to change, when the bubble comes up touch the pic and choose the location of the one you want to use.
 
Just an update but whoever is subscribed to this might want to know in case they don't already. The latest update of ADW EX allows for custom docks. Not sure if the free ADW launcher had an update for this though.

how would someone go about getting/creating a custom dock, I noticed that I could get background off of the hidden dock, but I would love to have a cool custom dock like the Laucnher pro guys do
