After 5.1.1 update LTE data keeps dropping and incoming calls go straight to vm(telus in Canada)

I have an s6 in Canada on telus and I recently (2 weeks ago) did the 5.1.1 update. Since the update my data (LTE) keeps dropping and most ppl have to call me 2-3 times before the call goes through. I have called telus and spend many hours with them on the phone and this is a list of things I've tried that they suggested but have not fixed the issue.

1- telus reset my account on their system (didn't work)

2- telus gave me a new sim card at no cost (didn't work)

3- cleared cache partition through boot up menu (helped with battery life but not these issues)

4- reset phone through preferences menu as per telus technician (didn't work)

5- after calling them back the tech told me to keep my phone on 4g and that has finally fixed the issue of droped data and phone calls going to vm but I don't want to keep it on 4g as it is noticeably slower then LTE!!!

Now one point I want to state is that my phone updated to 5.1.1 while I was on vacation in Panama and I was on WiFi but connected to one of their carriers (movistar or digicell were the common ones) could that be why I'm having this issue.

Also if I reset the phone from the boot up menu would it restore it to the software before 5.1.1 and then I can redownload and install 5.1.1?

I got the same problems too. T-Mobile, USA. They tried everything. I thought it was a network thing. Guess not.
