After a factory data reset my phone is showing someone else name in device info my Google activity

I agree my bf got my old zte majesty pro Lte phone we did factory reset to wipe phone out clean and we can't get into Google account
Because when he sold it he didn't do a factory reset, making the phone still linked to his account

Didn't reset, or didn't remove the account before doing so (which would trigger factory reset protection, meaning you need the old account to get back into the phone).
