after doing a factory reset, what else?

About six months ago I made the move to the HTC One V from the Optimus V. It's worked well for me. Glad I did it.

My brother-in-law is one of those people who has never had a cell phone even though he's the primary caretaker for my mother-in-law who is almost 90 years old. My brother-in-law takes long walks for exercise and I worry that if she needs him that she has no way to reach him.

So I'd like to give him the Optimus V. I did a factory reset today on it today.

What else do I need to do in order to give him a clean activatable phone?

As far as I'm aware unlinking your Google account, doing a factory and making sure all files which you've put onto the phones memory & SD card (if there is one) are deleted is all you need to do. To check the files just plug it into a computer and have a look around on it.

I'm pretty sure the factory reset takes care of most of that except wiping data off the SD card, but check the Google account link and files on the phone anyway.
