So I have gotten mixed ideas on loading task managers such as Advanced Task Killer. Some say that you should not do this that it can even hurt the performance of the phone over all. Others say it is a must have to free up space. Even a Sprint salesman told me that it was not a good idea. Any thoughts?

Task killers = unnecessary, poor practice and waste of battery. Search will find plenty of info why.
