Aggregated Messenger

Howdy folks,

I'm looking for a reliable, stable aggregated messenger.

It should support SMS, MMS, Gmail, Whats App, Facebook Chat etc. Rather like the BB10 aggregated interface.

I've come across a beta of Disa.im and Snowball both of which are very buggy and either FC or don't notify when new messages arrive.

There's also IM+ and one other for which the reviews are awful.

So...does this exist? Or is it pie in the sky?

If not, why not!!

These are simply getting less popular over time for three reasons - everyone keeps reinventing the message protocol wheel until trying to support them all causes a good app to degrade (IM+), or someone does a good job at it, gets a lot of people hooked on the app and then jerks the rug out from under you and goes to their own private message system thinking somehow that everyone will love them for creating yet another closed social channel (the imo app), or someone does it a lot better than the actual channel provider so legal measures are brought out to protect the lower quality product (just as Skype stepped on Fring and mostly gutted them).

Probably your best bet is to try to find a few more limited aggregators.

Thanks for the reply EarlyMon, that's a shame but at least I understand why it's so difficult now. If Blackberry hadn't been 5 years late to the game with BB10, perhaps they might have done better.
