Air Command issue

Has anyone else been unable to use the S Pen Air Command function? I've followed the directions to set it up but it's greyed out.
 
As you can see in the "Phone2" screenshot, the options "Shortcuts" option is grayed out so I can't configure the S Pen Air Command option. Have any of you who've gotten the N5 have this working on your phone and, if so, how did you make it active?

I spoke to a Verizon tech support person who remote logged into my phone and couldn't figure it out. I asked if it could be a bad S-Pen and she said "possibly". I suggested that I could go by a store after work and try out someone else's S-Pen and she said "that's a good idea". :rolleyes:

Im referring to what you see in pic 1 but disregard my question. Turns out I've got a bad phone. Verizon is going to have to replace it. :-/
It seems to have a bad cpu as its got a multitude of things wrong with it. It's been a very frustrating week trying to work through this.
