Air Control app
Firstly I would like to start off by saying that this review is based on the full version, but that was not present on Androidapps.com when I posted this review. However the only difference is Ads on the free version.
Air Control is very similar to Firemint’s “Flight Control” for the iPhone where you have to land planes on different runways without letting them collide. They are both very similar apps and I can tell you as frequent player of the iPhone app, that I was overcome with joy when I saw that it was out for my “deprived of games” Android phone – Htc Hero (sad I know). So I downloaded the app to see if my hopes were to be fulfilled.
Air Control is truly one of those “pick up and play” apps that you find yourself yearning for your next coffee break. It was incredibly popular on the iPhone and I am sure over the next couple of weeks will follow suit with Android; after all this is the sort of app that has revolutionised gaming, no longer does it need to be a heavy ps3/Xbox game, and as the famous quote goes “a quick game is a good game”.
There are two types of play; Mismatch mode whereby you just have land the planes and Cargo where you have to land the planes in a certain order based on type or colour. This game may look easy but over time it gets more difficult which is what makes it so addictive.
Positives:
• Its free (with ads)
• Easy to use
• Very addicting and hard to put down
• Works on all android devices
• Great types of play (Mismatch and Cargo)
• Scoreboard to compare results
Work needed:
• Very little
• Graphics could do with a little more polish
• Gameplay could be smoother and the ability to pause and return after leaving is missing
• More maps would be nice
Overall a great app that can be picked up for free (with ads), but I strongly recommend paying the $1 for this great app and supporting the developer to bring new and better updates to this already great app.
