Akaso M8S Help?!

I just purchased an Akaso M8S on Amazon and it came. I plugged it in and the light is blue and the HDMI is in. However, it will not turn on when I press the power button on the remote.. Is the remote not paired with the box? What can I do? It comes with Kodi Pre-Installed and I dont want to factory reset.

The blue light indicates that the device is on.
It is probably a hardware problem related to the connection from the box to the TV.

But there are other things it could be too... for example - you have changed the AV input on the TV to the correct 'source', right?

Also - where is the play/pause button on the box remote? I can't see it!
