Alarm audio to external speaker

Hi there, I have the 2014 Galaxy Tab 10.1 which i use for my daily alarm in the morning, and i have it hooked up to external speakers. I'm noticing that when my alarm sounds it will only play through the internal speakers, and not through the external ones that are connected via the 3.5mm jack. I did try other alarm apps to see how they fared, but same result. If i play music through the tab it will play as expected, but alarms don't for some reason.

Does anyone have some solution for this, like is there an app i can use to force it to play externally? Thanks!

Some devices default the alarm to the built in speaker.

Personally, I wish that mine did.

Whenever I have speakers connected via wire or bluetooth, the alarm will come out of the speakers, and not the built in one on the device.

The problem is that it means that I must remember to have the volume set at half volume at the most, or else it will overdrive the speakers (possibly causing damage).

Then, when the speakers are not connected, I must remember to turn the alarm volume back up again.

Of course, I forget to do either.

So my guess is that is why your device is the way that it is.
