alarm clock app

Hi all,

As far as I'm aware the standard alarm clock will not alarm when the phone is switched off.

Does anybody know an alarm clock that will alarm when the phone is switched off ...? (preferably free)

Highlights from that thread:
- Android doesn't work that way; it can't be done.
- There's no need to shut the phone off; if you don't want to be bothered by incoming calls/texts/emails, put the phone in airplane mode.
- Only argument in favor of shutting the phone off was from people who "bump charge" their phones for that little bit of extra juice.

I use 'Setting Profiles' full edition to place my phone in silent mode between 10pm and 7am and to shut down wi-fi, data, bluetooth, gps etc if in use and my phone hardly uses any power as a result. You can however allow the alarm to ring and to also the phone to ring if you receive a call from a user defined list of numbers incase of emergency.
