Album art not properly displaying on Huawei Y7 2019

Hi,

I recently got this Huawei. I'm having issues making the album art display in the Music app. I am burning my CDS as mp3 files and the album art displays fine on PC.

However, nearly all of them don't display on mobile. I have tried to manually set album art from my downloads folder on Saturday but today I found the art reset to the deafult again today. This doesn't seem to affect the Muse albums, which both burned with the album art by deafult and were not affected like the Nirvana and Hozier albums losing their manually set art.

The Muse albums are mp4 files, not mp3. I burnt them on my old computer and they came out as mp4s by deafult for some reason. I cannot choose to burn my CDS on my current laptop as mp4.


Any advice appreciated!

Maybe Huawei doesn't care much for Nirvana? But seriously though, from experience the stock Huawei EMUI music player basically sucks, and I've found it does have problems with album art.

Strongly suggest you try a third-party alternative player. I'm either BlackPlayer EX and Odyssey on my Mate 10, and both work great, and no problems with album art.
