Help alcatel onetouch fierce xl

My alcatel one touch fierce xl appears to be frozen. It boots up to home page but you cannot do anything once it boots up. It won't even turn off so I cannot get it into rcovery mode to try to fix it. how can I get into recovery mode or how do I fix this issue.

Edit: Is the battery removable? Nope.
Hold the power button and volume down button. It should power off but keep holding the buttons. The phone will turn back on but keep holding them. Hopefully that will get you into recovery mode.

Charge your phone
2. SWITCH OFF
3. Simultaneously press the "switch" + "volume down" + "home"
4. Download the Android system recovery
5. Now act quickly, the phone may reboot itself
--------------------------------------
a) Press the "volume down" go down to the point of "wipe data / factory reset"
b) Press the power button (here it acts as the "OK" button)
c) We see a lot of "no" and one "yes". Choosing "yes" button is similar to the volume down (you can climb upstairs with the "volume up"). Press the power button.
d) Will the reset process, we wait until the end of the activity on the screen, go back button on the body "back", select "reboot system now" (if the phone suddenly began to turn on itself right after the reset - do not worry)
--------------------------------------
6. Phone reset to factory settings, and applications of the data removed
