I have a Galaxy S2 through Straight Talk, and when I unplugged my phone this morning, it turned off and back on by itself, then once it was finished restarting I noticed that almost all of the apps I had installed were gone. When I went into my Applications, it showed all of the app icons there but the ones that had been deleted were gray and had a little picture of an sd card on the bottom right of the icon. The Google Play Store app wasnt available so I dont know how I can even reinstall the apps I had. I have turned my phone off and back on and taken the battery out and put it back in but everything still looks the same.

It sounds like your SDcard has come loose or died ?
shut down the phone take out the sdcard and clean the contacts with an eraser and reinstalled it and restart the phone
