All Contacts have disappeared!

Help me restore my Contacts! Firstly I have/had no backup with my google or samsung accounts. Instantly went online for a solution and Dr Fones recovery tool seemed to be the popular answer! However on doing the device scan with this app it managed to locate some 700+ contacts however these sere infact my FB contacts and as such had NO phone numbers. My contacts app is showing just 4kb of data, whilst contact storage app shows 13 mb??? Giving me hope that maybe the data I need is still in there somewhere!
Galaxy S3 running 4.1.2
 
Try going to people (contacts) press menu button and then contacts to display and make sure Google is checked.
