All day events not visible on monthly view Calendar

If I set up an event as "all day", it IS visible on a monthly view on the web Google Calendar, but it IS NOT visible on the monthly view on the phone. This seems to be true of holidays, as well, which I guess are "all day" by default.

The problem is only for monthly views, weekly and daily show the event on the phone. And sync is working just fine, both directions. All my calendars are set up as "synced, visible".

They are visible, it just bolds the date and it's very hard to see. I started using launcher pro widget calendar and it puts a little caret symbol there to make it easier to read.

I noticed the same thing and am frustrated by that. Almost as frustrated as having to run a second app just to have the appointment alarms go off every 5 minutes until I shut them off. Or not having the alarm go off at the appointment time, not just before with a "reminder."

The calendar in Droids just wasn't very well thought-through.

Looking closely, I can see that now. That's pretty pitiful.

There is actually all sorts of room for them to put in a colored band, just like Google Calendar on the web.

You'd think they'd want to make it look as close to identical to the web calendar as possible.

I actually use three calendars to get the functionality I want.

1. Blik Calendar for its icon-based agenda widget.

2. Gemini Calendar for its "fast add" feature.

3. Touch Calendar for its readable monthly view.

I use 1 and 2 all the time. I probably could uninstall 3 as I rarely use that, but like the flexibility in having it.

I linked Gemini Calendar to Blik Calendar so I never have to use the stock calendar for entries.

Thanks, BookLover. I'm going to give Touch Calendar a try, it looks more like what I expected from the stock app.

Some of the other Google apps are really good, so seems strange that the stock app is so weak compared to the web-based Google Calendar.

I just got Touch Calendar. So far, it's exactly what I thought the standard calendar should be. Completely happy so far.

You're welcome. Glad to have helped.
