All My Mp3's Are Under My Ringtones Now... Help

I went to change my ringtone today and found that all of my mp3's are in there. It's a mess. How could this have happened and is there an easier way to delete them other than one by one?

Thats actually normal AFAIK because all your mp3's can be used as ringtones. However I'd think its dependent on phone UI (HTC Sense vs Samsung TouchWiz)? Because before I get to select ringtones, my phone asks me if I want to look in mp3's or system tones. Did that happen to you before?

Thanks for responding. I've had my HTC Inpsire phone for over a year and none of my mp3's ever went under ringtones. This is something new. It used to ask me if I wanted system ringtones or mp3's but it doesn't ask me that anymore.

So I think my problem is that when I go to ringtones, I no longer get that popup that gives me a choice between system ringtones and mp3's. How can I get that popup to come back?

I hate Android as a music playback OS. It's pretty shitty in that regards, but pretty nice in most others.
